The Cave Gym Toowoomba: Australia's first HYROX Training Zone.

THG is currently supporting The Cave Gym as it prepares to launch the country's first official HYROX Training Zone, also known as HTCx.

This is the kind of project THG was built for: applying experience from international gym launches, HYROX integration, facility growth, and community-led events to a regional gym choosing to build at an international standard and make its community the centre of the story.

A regional gym moving first.

The Cave Gym in Toowoomba has been approved as Australia's first official HYROX Training Zone. That matters because it shows the future of fitness is not only being shaped in capital cities. Strong regional facilities can lead when they have the right community, standards, equipment, layout, programming, and belief.

For The Cave, this is not just another training area. It is a new identity layer for the business: a place where members can train with purpose, benchmark progress, prepare for HYROX, and feel part of something bigger than a normal gym session.

What THG is helping with.

THG's role is to support the project with the lens of an operator, a community builder, and a HYROX-focused growth partner. The goal is simple: help the facility launch with clarity, energy, and standards that members can feel immediately.

  • Refining the HYROX training layout so the space works in real sessions.
  • Helping connect the HTCx launch to the wider member experience.
  • Building a community-first story around the facility, not just the equipment.
  • Making the launch feel like a moment the whole Toowoomba fitness community can get behind.

Why this matters for ambitious operators.

The biggest lesson here is that positioning matters. The Cave is not only adding a trend. It is creating a clear reason for people to pay attention, a clear pathway for members to progress, and a clear community identity around hybrid fitness.

That is where modern community-led businesses win. They stop selling access alone and start building a culture people want to be involved in.

Follow the launch.
